Counteract the winter blues and start brightening up this season by pulling out the yellow from your wardrobe! Dressing in yellow seems like a great way to cheer up a cold February day, doesn’t it? “We would like to think that yellow emerged as the hot color of the season for its subtext optimism.” Unfortunately, it doesn’t look good on everyone, especially those with fair skin. No worries, ladies! If you’re on the lighter side, just choose the mustard or pale yellows – avoid any neon-bright yellows because they will only make you look pale. If you have an olive tone, reach for lemon or bold yellows, and if you’re darker, go for the gold!
Do you think yellow is a fashion “do”? It sure will get you noticed!
Jewelry and fashion designers are beginning to warm up to yellow as winter fades into spring this year. They are using it as a fresh accent, and also treating it as a new fashion neutral. Mix it up with neutral base colors such as gray, black or navy blue (with some red gloss!) or pair it with other primary bright colors, and you’ll be as fashionable as can be!
