An all-access pass to the Chloé show for Paris Fashion Week, Day VI, is not exactly a casual Sunday for me. But when in Paris, evidently, it can be. After arriving at none other than the Grand Palais (which just a month ago was home of the colossal Cartier exhibit) with street style photographers galore, taking a couple of quick self-guided tours in the makeup and dressing rooms, chatting with Into The Gloss’ Emily Weiss and watching backstage magic happen, and not quite escaping embarassment with a not-so-graceful tumble up the stairs in brand new heels, the highly-anticipated show was about to begin.

1970′s inspiration is usually the name of the game when it comes to French fashion house, Chloé. And while the leather bottoms, oversized coats, and flowy dresses and blouses continue to do their job in reminding us that we are very much looking at a Chloé collection, this season’s looks were anything but predictable.

With an array of prints to gold metal plating, a new meaning to leather outerwear, a subtle fresh take on the classic leopard print fur, and shearling wool pumps, creative director Clare Waight Keller took the Chloé girl for a walk on the wild side this season with a slight splash of exoticness. Leading the pack was none other than model, Sasha Pivovarova, who also took over the Chloé Instagram account for the day.

Meanwhile, a full house including none other than the fashion super pack– Anna Wintour, Grace Coddington, and Tonne Goodman, plus Teen Vogue editor-in-chief, Amy Astley, street style and blogger darlings– Miroslava Duma, Garance Dore, Chiara Ferragni, and Leandra Medine, Eva Chen from Lucky Magazine, and even all three sisters from (funny enough, one of my favorite bands that I had just seen in concert the night before at The Trianon) Haim, fulfilled literally every single one of my fashion fangirl’s dreams within the span of one hour. (You can probably imagine the selfie activity that took place.) But just as quickly as they had came and snapped their live instas of the show, the fashion editors were off in a blink of an eye to their next show. Such is fashion week, but in any case, Happy 21st Birthday to me.
