June 21 marks the first day of summer and surely most of us are packing for our off the grid getaways. In April, the San Francisco Ballet hosted their ever brilliant annual fashion show at the Fairmont Hotel to showcase the year’s spring/summer fashions. Ken Downing, Fashion Director of Neiman Marcus styled the presentation, putting together a series of color coordinated looks that included pieces from various top designers, like Gucci, Chanel, Burberry, and Manolo Blahnik. Aside from the marvels of this season’s top items to buy, Downing’s vision of an urban lady in the sun was refined by the playful feather headpieces that topped off his combination of looks.

This summer, take some style inspiration from Downing’s San Francisco show and wear outfits that will keep you comfortable and cool all day. Notably, like his use of volume and length with sheer-sleeved sweaters, jackets over the shoulders, and loose-fitted maxi skirts.

Now that summer wardrobes are complete, if you’re resort bound or simply paying attention to your skin, browsing on HSN for SPF and other beauty regimen products is helpful.
