The Bold Italic’s Haberdash men’s week events turned out to be a lucrative time for men’s fashion in San Francisco. The fashion show, held on August 25th, showcased five boutiques from San Francisco including: Revolver, Candystore Colletive, On The Fly, Jack’s San Francisco and Saboteur!
Exuding rustic old-world style with a modern twist, The Burritt Room–situated on the second floor of the Cresent Hotel–hosted the extravaganza. The hotel’s boutique feeling and welcoming staff provided the perfect setting for this style of show. The energy was masculine, modern and elegant and the gents on the runway preformed well with the 60s mod, rock and soul tunes. Distillery No. 209 provided the fashionable patrons with tasty libations throughout the night to add a complete sense of a good time.
Good job Bold Italic!

Spring time is here! San Francisco’s sunny days come in spurts like the Oakland Raider’s winning streak, but Sam took advantage of it. He dusted off his spring/summer suit, in fashion, it’s blasphemy to wear white in fall/winter without a combination of autumn/fall/winter colors. Sam you did good!
When observing men’s attire, the focal point does not lie at the bust, waist and hips like in women’s clothing, but instead, the framing of the face. Understanding the subtle interplay that should exits between a man’s most visible and expressive body part, his face, and the clothes surrounding it is a prerequisite of a fine dressing.
Oscar Scheoffer, Esquire magazine’s legendary fashion editor, once warned “Never underestimate the power of what you wear. After all, there is just a small bit of you sticking out at the neck and cuff. The rest of what the world sees is what’s draped over your frame”. In Sam’s case, the fit and color match his palette so the eye naturally wonders up the body to his face.
